Curvy Kate, a lingerie and swimwear wholesale company, decided to branch out into the eCommerce market in late 2015, and so began a 6 month project to completely change the structure, layout and functionality of the website.
Through the initial stage of concept designs, wireframes were meticulously analysed. Key focus areas revolved around the product pages, category pages and the basket/checkout area. The goal was to refine the journey from website entry to final purchase whilst ensuring we acquired returning members. From wireframing to design mockups, the brands identity was carried through the process, transforming a wholesale brand into an eCommerce one.
Several key features ensured the success of the store including but not limited to 1) a bra/bikini finder to filter the styles, colours and sizes you wished to view, 2) recommendations at the checkout phase to upsell, 3) a trusted review system so users could share their experiences, 4) a store locator to see who stocked Curvy Kate worldwide. Since the launch of the website, each month has seen an increase in sales and page views, now making it a key revenue stream for the business.
